If I'm using DJGPP and need editing files, I use emacs. 2. If I have a working DJGPP installation, I'd probably use emacs instead of MS miserly programs for editing other things. 3. I used DJGPP mainly to mess with DJGPP, code for DJGPP libc and Freedos. Occasionally I needed some C program I made also in WINDOWS, so some very seldom other usage. 4. Today I never find time to have fun with DJGPP or Freedos (there are other more fun things) so 1-3 isn't relevant. 5. Any DJGPP emacs would work for me. I don't need the latest. 6. If I ever need DJGPP again, I hope there some emacs compiled with current DJGPP there for me. 7. Thank you Eli, Andris and Juan for the porting work. -- MartinS
