Okay, I'll admit, I only tried to build the bootstrap version of GNU
sed 4.1.5, but it seems to not build with GCC 4.1.0 (although 3.4.4
seems to work fine).

I understand that 4.1.0 is a newer revision, more "standards-compliant"
(I assume), much faster at C++ (even if C++ objects are incompatible
with older GCCs), but I'm wondering, is it practical to suggest
everyone upgrade to 4.1.0 exclusively yet or not? So far, I've just
kept 3.4.4 and 4.1.0 both installed in separate dirs (too stupid/lazy
to try to get them both working via -V).

BTW, nice job on everything, not trying to complain. :-)
