As my message clearly stated: yes.

I do not know if it requires additional environment variables,
or other tweaks to djggp.env in order to be properly implemented
however. by itself, \djgpp\bin\Perl.exe runs. 
I am confident it was installed correctly.

I did finally manage to find a pre-compiled gnuchess 5.0.7, along
with xboard/winboard, so I have it.  BUT learning how to compile
this would still be quite nice... using the source as provided.

I suppose I could attempt to "rebuild" a new make or even simple
batch file from scratch; but whats the point of installing these
fancy things (perl,bash,bison,etc.) without using them :-)
