I do not know if it requires additional environment variables, or other tweaks to djggp.env in order to be properly implemented however. by itself, \djgpp\bin\Perl.exe runs. I am confident it was installed correctly. I did finally manage to find a pre-compiled gnuchess 5.0.7, along with xboard/winboard, so I have it. BUT learning how to compile this would still be quite nice... using the source as provided.
