The earlier libraries are all perfectly usable with GCC 3.x.  SO
there's no need to separate anything.

The "v2" part in "v2gnu" comes from the DJGPP version, not from GCC
version.  DJGPP is still in version 2.03, and will remain in the v2.x
land for the observable future.
