Throw together? I don't even remember how to use printf! It would take me
an hour just to figure out all that #include and *struct and #define stuff
that you need to float a C program.
I compiled the unmodified source under Win98 and I get different
behaviour. It will label the diskette without truncating, but only if the
diskette is not already labelled (that gets "error setting volume label".)
The same executable under OS/2 truncates the label, but doesn't mind if
the diskette is already labelled. Augh!

Thanks for the encouragement, and what you say is true. It's just that I
don't really have the time for this increasingly Quixotic pursuit of the
perfect SFX solution for our customers. They'll just have to label the
damn diskette themselves!
