HELP!!! It's the millenium bug, already... Shudder...

It's not the speed, I don't even know if my routines really are faster, but
I'm just used to it, as I have been programming games in TASM+QB45 for about
two years... It wasn't very nice, because QB45 didn't like too complex
programs... :( And because I wanted to port my games to Linux, I had to start
using C. Because my primary C development environment is Linux/GNU/GCC, DJGPP
is the ideal choice... I like it!
But I just really like to do it all myself, the sound mixing for SB/GUS,
keyboard handler, FLI player, BMP viewer, groupfile stuff, whatever.
Letting somebody else do all the hard stuff is lazy, IMHO, not that I
hate people using Allegro, I just don't want do use it by myself.
But if I want (just if I want...) to port my games to Windows, can I use
DirectX with DJGPP??? (Famous question on this list, I have seen...)

Well, fortunately I now know I'm not the only one on this world... :)
