Damian, how is this any less difficult than adding two lines to the
autoexec.bat? Surely if you ask someone that doesn't know what the autoexec.bat
is or how to set envrionment variables whether or not they want to increase
their environment size to accomadate the new DJGPP envrionment settings, they're
going to stare blankly at the screen and go "hey?". Anyway, the documentation
for such a program will have to mention that is adds lines to the autoexec.bat.
How then, is this any different to documenting the current DJGPP installation?

It's so much easier to develop with Windows Explorer open and to just associate
RHIDE with source files in the Windows registery. Anyway, not everyone uses
Windows with DJGPP remember...

I don't see the point of a "shortcut for DJGPP". GCC is a command line driven
compiler, although I realise RHIDE automates the interface to the compiler.

As Eli said, don't let my comments discourage you at all, I'm just putting forth
my view point. If you could get a program like this off the ground that
addresses all these issues then I'm sure many newbies would be appreciative.
