Surely if you ask someone that doesn't know what the autoexec.bat is or how to set envrionment variables whether or not they want to increase their environment size to accomadate the new DJGPP envrionment settings, they're going to stare blankly at the screen and go "hey?". Anyway, the documentation for such a program will have to mention that is adds lines to the autoexec.bat. How then, is this any different to documenting the current DJGPP installation? > I meant create a folder in Programs containing a > shortcut to rhide.exe It's so much easier to develop with Windows Explorer open and to just associate RHIDE with source files in the Windows registery. Anyway, not everyone uses Windows with DJGPP remember... > > Why not arrange a shortcut for DJGPP? > > Shortcut to which EXE? I don't see the point of a "shortcut for DJGPP". GCC is a command line driven compiler, although I realise RHIDE automates the interface to the compiler. > > Never mind, that was just a silly joke of an old cynic. Don't let it > > discourage you! As Eli said, don't let my comments discourage you at all, I'm just putting forth my view point. If you could get a program like this off the ground that addresses all these issues then I'm sure many newbies would be appreciative. -- Johan Venter ICQ 3643877 - jventer AT writeme DOT com The TPU DJGPP Interest Group - http://surf.to/djgppig The RSXNTDJ 1.5 HOWTO - http://surf.to/rsxntdj
