Unfortunately, I must agree; Mingw32/EGCS runs straight out of the box. For
some time now I have been using RSXIDE as a front end to Mingw32, and
although, among other things, the Makefile must be modified by hand, this
combination is the most user friendly procedure for writing Windows
programmes that I have found. More details are given at
