My own understanding of the English language suggests to me that what 
I wrote did not at all say another person said that Rylan's question 
was stupid.

True, everyone can characterize their own actions...and someone 
else's too. I just thought it odd that someone would go out of their 
way to feel his question was stupid, and then proceed to tell others 
of that too, unless perhaps he was trying to make another point. ;)
