Me too, but now I love it...I'm even thinking about starting programming
in ASM...:)
About GAS and NASM: You can write your ASM routines in NASM then compile
them in an object file(s) and include it in your project. I don't know
how you can do that from RHIDe. You can't completely replace GAS tho,
since all the DJGPP output is for it. You wouldn't want that anyways...
(good luck, and try to look into the AT&T syntax, it's not that
horrible...:)
