Looking back on this, if you actually meant `how can I read the info 
files', not editing them, try pressing CTRL-D inside the help system, 
which will bring up the directory node, or CTRL-G and typing a node 
specification, e.g. for allegro.inf this is `(allegro)'. Read the 
help-on-help for more information.
