However, the files contain special characters in : places to mark the starts of nodes, for example; you'll have to work out : how to put these in. Looking back on this, if you actually meant `how can I read the info files', not editing them, try pressing CTRL-D inside the help system, which will bring up the directory node, or CTRL-G and typing a node specification, e.g. for allegro.inf this is `(allegro)'.
