I'm a packrat. I don't really delete anything; if you look in
pub/djgpp/deleted you'll see every package I've ever "deleted".

But I tell the mirrors they can either mirror everything (which
includes "deleted") or just "current". As a handy metric, I like
"current" to fit on a CD-ROM. It's rare that I'd actually create a
CD-ROM from it, but perhaps someone else might too, and it's a
reasonable size (700Mb) for the main distribution.

The "full" distribution is currently 1.8 Gb. "deleted" is currently
788 Mb, it would grow by whatever "current" shrinks by, but I don't
care if "deleted" fits on a CD-ROM ;-)
