I would also agree that thelearn c++ in 21 days is a very good book, in fact, the one I used. And for DOS purposes, LaMothes book is also probally the best. But FYI, I was in the book store the other day and LaMoth has just wrote a new one, "Tip's and Trick's of the Windows game programming guru's" --or something like that. The copyright is October 99. The only bad thing is that it is Windows and Direct3d programming(which alot of people don't like) but it has some other very interesting topics.
