First, please don't post both to djgpp AT delorie DOT com mailing list and
comp.os.msdos.djgpp news group.  The former is an email gateway into

Please note that the DJGPP FAQ list (v2/faq211b.zip from the same
place you get DJGPP) discusses in section 3.6 several alternative free
tool-chains for Windows programming, including RSXNTDJ.  So even if
RSXNTDJ is not the best tool for you (I never used it, so I wouldn't
know), there are other possibilities to consider before MSVC.
