I wrote a 3d engine that did all that a while back, don't know where the
source is for it anymore but I can tell you how it works if you're
interested, you could dynamically create and destroy cubes, toruses,
spheres, blah blah blah and it did a whole heap of cool effects, now that I
think about it it's a shame I lost the code, it was pretty cool. Doh.
