What (really) is the difference between writing a DirectX program
for Win9x or writing a DJGPP version? DJGPP programs work perfectly fine
under versions of Windows. The only difference I can see is that DirectX
does know a little more about the hardware & is therefore usually faster.
But if you are using a graphics library anyways, that (minus the
multitasking which still works with DOS programs under Win9x) might as
well be Windows programming.
