I started to write a dialup program at one stage, but I abandoned it
before it did more than send out atdt#######. I do have a Map27
(MPT1327 trunked radio PC<->radio communications protocol)
implementation that shows one way of using my lib in a largish project.
If you're interested in that, let me know and I'll put it on my web page
(http://www.tssc.co.nz/~bcurrie/) which also has the latest version of
my serial port library (I'm assuming you got it from simtel).

I think Randy Maas (randym AT acm DOT org) has made some progress in that
direction.

Nobody's expressed an interest in writing them. Anyway, there's always
the FAQ which is more like an encyclopaedia (many thanks and kudos to
Eli).
