I'm making a game, not a DOOM or QUAKE clone, and I thought about using
Allegro's internal 3d routines for some of the graphics. Unfortunately, it
seems that the 3d stuff is hideously slow. Is it just my system? I set up a
FPS counter and it read about 48 FPS at the lowest in 640x480 screen res with
eight cubes rotating on the screen, but they still looked jumpy. If anyone
has made anything of worth using the Allegro 3d functions... can I take a look
at it? Maybe I'm forgetting to set up some variable, or am I just wasting my
time, and should go make my own lib. Any thoughts?
