Hi!
I just fiddled around with wsock under win95 because i hope to
port the network driver of our game. Simple tests just work,
but some things seem to be strange/different from standard
unix socket handling. Some docs/infos from people using
wsock/djgpp under win95 would be nice (has anyone ever tried
to get asynchronous i/o running and how to retrieve a machine
name from an ip, like gethostbyaddr does under unix? is it
possible to use the dns services included with win95s ip stack
or do i have to talk to the dns server myself? and how about
broadcasting? switching on the broadcast bit is quite easy, but
how do i get all the possible networks and their broadcast
addresses?). Is there any documentation available?
BTW: What happened to Dan Hedlund (the author of wsock), his
homepage is gone and i can't find a new one.
Ciao,
Till
