You can download a pre-built version from the Allegro homepage,
http://www.talula.demon.co.uk/allegro/.

However, if you can't build Allegro you probably can't use it either. You
really ought to try to figure out why it's not building. Check:

1) Can you compile simple programs (other than Allegro)?

2) Have you read the Allegro FAQ, which details some building problems?

If neither of the above helps, you could post more details of your problem
(e.g. exact error messages, exactly what you are doing, including command
lines, a list of all *.ver files in your djgpp manifest directory) to here
or to the Allegro mailing list (details on the web page above).
