djgpp is a programming platform for msdos
msdos is an os
hence, comp.os.msdos.djgpp.
one could argue that it should have been
comp.os.msdos.programmer.tools.djgpp similar to
comp.os.ms-windows.programmer.tools.mfc etc but considering that the
number of groups under comp.os.msdos is really small compared to
comp.os.ms-windows, i do not think such a hierarchy would have been very
useful. besides, as margo also pointed out, djgpp is far more than a
specialized tool.
