cawf is a C-version of awf, an awk formatter for man pages (works similar
to 'groff -man'). In the version I have, there is a missing file which can
be found in the awf version.

(c)awf is not as good as the real-thing (but it is good), so you might look
for groff. I recall that someone has ported groff using djgpp. I use OS/2,
so I have not been following this very carefully. There is an EMX/gcc version
of groff on ftp-os2.nmsu.edu in pub/os2/2.0/gnu/. This runs under MSDOS or
OS/2 (on a 386). IMPORTANT: testing by the author of the port, Kai Uwe Rommel,
has been mainly under OS/2--see the readme before using. I have not tested
under MSDOS.
