In the version I have, there is a missing file which can be found in the awf version. (c)awf is not as good as the real-thing (but it is good), so you might look for groff. I recall that someone has ported groff using djgpp. I use OS/2, so I have not been following this very carefully. There is an EMX/gcc version of groff on ftp-os2.nmsu.edu in pub/os2/2.0/gnu/. This runs under MSDOS or OS/2 (on a 386). IMPORTANT: testing by the author of the port, Kai Uwe Rommel, has been mainly under OS/2--see the readme before using.
