Turn your lathe into a disk sander
This was a quick project for one time I needed to do some sanding. I
don't recall the project then, but I use this a lot now. I have two
round boards, each with paper on both sides, for a total of four
grits. There are holes to mount them to the faceplate, and the table
mounts right to the bed of the lathe and can easily be clamped. Presto!
Variable speed 12 inch disk sander.
Next time, I'm making the disk have its own lathe mounting nut,
truing it a little better, and mounting velcro on it.
