Larry's Kinder and Gentler Chili

1 package Jimmy Dean port sausage
1 lb diet lean ground beef
1 can tomato sauce
2 cans Progresso red beans
1 can Progresso white beans
2 large Spanish onions
2 large sweet red peppers
1 packet Old El Paso Chili Seasoning

Form beef and sausage into two large patties, place on bacon cooker in microwave for 10 minutes until fairly well done (won't look done, not browned, but fairly free of fat). Meanwhile dice onion and peppers in a bit of olive oil, cook until onion is transparent. Put cooked meat into bowl, mash with potato masher until thoroughly broken up, add to onions and peppers. Add beans, seasoning and tomato sauce. Simmer 1/2 hour. Serve over rice, with shredded cheddar, and sour cream for garnish and doritos or corn tortillas for dipping.
