There was your chance to have a look at the internals of that web site ;)
The .xhtmls are the source files to the html files.

Its a horrible mistake. I have no idea how that happened, but it seems the
missing egcs mirror somehow killed the program that regularly updated the
html pages.

Should work now, hopefully :(
