I just installed egcs-1.1.2 + egcs-1.1.2-pgcc-1.1.3.diff.gz on Linux (Debian 2.1) and made some tests. Compiling the compressor bzip2 (http://www.muraroa.demon.co.uk/) with "-O3 -mpentium" generates a buggy binary. The bzip2-Makefile runs some tests with the generated binary (compress/decompress/compare). One of these tests failed. With "-O2 -mpentium" I got no problems so far.
