I didn't want to accuse anybody, but i never got such an unfriendly answer to any bugreport i made, before. I'm on 10 mailing lists (with this one it's now 11), which produce a huge amount of traffic for my procmail. So i wanted to avoid having one more. (I expected it to be of similar volume as egcs). I'm sorry, that i can't contribute code to such a great prog as egcs/pgcc, because it needs a lot of time to understand its internal structure; thus i only can contribute by testing. I am working with a big C/Fortran prog which should provide a good testcase for compilers. (egcs snapshots often don't get through it). Regarding testing: I would like to try a recent pgcc snapshot, but i am behind a firewall, which doesn't allow anonymous cvs access. is there any possibility for me? It seems, you stopped the ftp-snapshots at about pgcc-19990124. If you call that help, you are right, of course. > and I don't blame him for that, but I do blame him for > wanting the help privately mailed rather than openly > discussed. I thought a cc is an additional copy of an email? So where comes your 'privately mailed' from? i only wanted to know the results of this thread on this ml, too. It's clear that it should be openly discussed on a ml, since that's the main reason to set one up. Sorry again for wasting bandwidth, but i hope this thread is closed now, and i don't further stop people from doing real work. Bye, Martin. -- Your mouse has moved.
