i'm running a pgcc'd XFree 3.3.2 server+modules, and although it does seem
sort of quicker starting up, it doesn't offer a huge improvement over a
gcc compile. if you're up for the challenge (and have plenty of free hours
on your hand :), go for it. if you're on a tight schedule, i wouldn't
recommend messing around.
