Let's see one part of Xlib.h: extern XChangePointerControl( #if NeedFunctionPrototypes Display* /* display */, Bool /* do_accel */, Bool /* do_threshold */, int /* accel_numerator */, int /* accel_denominator */, int /* threshold */ #endif ); Also, I found another problem, I haven't been able to completely isolate it, but I thought I should say it here anyway since it is a potential bug. I have -I./ as an option passed to gcc. gcc was complaining that it couldn't find the file that was being included from the .c file (it was declared #include ). I changed it to -I. and it worked. I then put -I./ as the very first option passed to gcc and it worked. Maybe it's just my imagination, but I'm pretty sure that's what happened. Thanks for any help. Mohan Khurana
