Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Sender: Marc Lehmann Status: RO X-Status: A Content-Length: 714 Lines: 23 Until now I was using an old pgcc snapshot (970117), and today I got the latest pgcc [pgcc-2.91.02 971216 (gcc-2.8.0)]. For some reason, when I compile my code with the new pgcc, it is slower (about 3%) than what I get with my old snapshot. I use the following options in both cases: -mpentium -O6 -g -frisc -fopt-reg-use -floop-after-global -fall-mem-givs -fpeep-spills -fdo-offload -frecombine -frisc-mem-dest -fswap-for-agi -fschedule-stack-reg-insns -fsoftware-pipe -freg-reg-copy-opt And I did the tests with a Pentium 133. Is there any reason for the new pgcc to be slower with those options ? Any suggestion ? -- Regards, -- Tristan Savatier (President, MpegTV LLC) MpegTV: http://www.mpegtv.com
