The problem went away when I tried -O2 optimization. Is this a bug? I was trying to compile ssh 1.2.21. I am compiling under Debian/GNU Linux (2.0.33 pgcc compiled kernel) running on a 100Mhz Pentium. I am not on this mailing list, so please email responses directly to me.
