In my notebook, the 'display stretching' option (extremely ugly, BTW, so I prefer these black stripes; modern displays are much better at 'stretching' than my old DSTN LCD) is turned on/off in BIOS setup. BTW, Joe, does your notebook also boot with A20 line enabled? (Could you try if DR-DOS HIMEM.SYS gives you a warning?) Michal
