Similar enhanced command processors exist for OS/2 (4OS2) and NT/2000/XP (4NT). The bad news is, that unless they see some significant sales of 4DOS (which works fine on any DOS 3.0 or higher, including in Windows 3.xx/9x/SE/ME DOS boxes (partially even under NT/2000/XP) and under OS/2, DR DOS 3.31 - 6.0, PalmDOS 1.0, Novell DOS 7, OpenDOS 7.01, and DR-DOS 7.02 - 7.06) this might be /the/ (or one of the very) last version(s) of 4DOS, so I recommend to give it a try. 30-day trial shareware versions can be downloaded from their site above. The latest issue of 4DOS has many smaller enhancements and some major new features, see the WHATSNEW.TXT file for details. In particular DR-DOS 7.02+ users might be interested to learn that the 4DOS help system has been significantly updated to contain correct information about latest DR-DOS features, and how to get the most out of this combination. 4DOS 7.50 even incorporates a few changes to make 4DOS running under DR-DOS as convenient as possible. Also interesting is, that DeviceLogics, Inc. (http://www.devicelogics.com, http://www.drdos.com), new owners of DR-DOS, now also act as a 4DOS distributor.
