The CF-to-IDE adapters look *very* useful both for dedicated systems and for old boxes that don't like modern "huge" hard drives. http://siliconkit.dnsalias.com/cart/ Next time I have to mess with my old 486 box that I use for Fidonet & uucp, I may stick one of these in it. For that matter, I have an old 486 handheld that has a 40 meg HD. If it can take one of the mobile adapters, I can stick in a 64, or 128 meg card instead. And probably use less power. -- Leonard Erickson (aka shadow) shadow AT krypton DOT rain DOT com <--preferred leonard AT qiclab DOT scn DOT rain DOT com <--last resort
