Hope it works now.] Hi, I noticed that Frisk's famous v!rus scanner for DOS, F-PROT, has just been updated. The current version is now 3.12c [2002-12-05]. The DOS version as well as the Linux and FreeBSB small business versions are free of charge for private users and can be downloaded directly from their site at http://www.f-prot.com. System requirements of the DOS version: Any DOS 3.3+, 386 CPU and 4 Mb of RAM. Although F-PROT utilizes Devore Software's CauseWay DOS extender (which is meanwhile in the Public Domain since a few years - download with sources from http://www.devoresoftware.com), and old versions of this extender caused serious incompatibilities with the DR-DOS EMM386 3.xx, F-PROT is fully compatible with DR-DOS since it uses a recent enough version of the extender. Happy scanning, Matthias -- ; http://www.uni-bonn.de/~uzs180/mpdokeng.html; http://mpaul.drdos.org "Programs are poems for computers."
