Whatever else he is, Bill Gates is not stupid.  
He stopped supporting WIN95 in July 2002 
and will stop supporting WIN98 shortly.  He 
does not want any remnants of DOS left out 
there.  He has not done any upgrade of any of 
the DOS stuff unless you include the WIN95/98 
issues.  There was nothing in WIN ME and back 
in Jan 2000 some reporter in one of the magazines 
said he thought WIN ME was put out there just to 
make everyone mad enough to buy into the WIN XP 
stuff, which is only an upgrade of WIN NT4.
