A rename to INS didn't work. Of course, not. .INF files are setup files for Windows, while .INS files are card specific setup files for the Novell NetWare DOS client. So, if you want to set up Personal NetWare or connect to a big NetWare server, you will need an .INS file, which you should find in the "ODI" or "NetWare" driver section on your Realtec floppy disk. If you cannot find a .INS file, you may try to use the INS.OEM file shipping with DR-DOS as a prototype to create your own customized "REALTEC.INS" file from scratch. You may be able to obtain and transform some of the information from the .INF file to the .INS file - both are plain ASCII files describing the available hardware configuration options of the corresponding card.
