It's a box that has one ethernet port, two parallel ports and a serial port. You can hang two parallel and one serial printers off of it. But you have to have a *server* in the network for a networked printer to work. The server "collects" the print jobs and keeps them se[erated and then sends them to the printer for processing when they are comple. Personal Netware is a peer-to-peernetwork, and can't do that. The server requires something to maintain the print *queue*. The computers dumps jobs into the queue, which "spools" them until they are complete. Then the completed job go to the server.
