DR-DOS 7.04/7.05 natively supports LBA and FAT32, that is, without an external driver like DRFAT32.SYS/.EXE, but it has a number of short- comings and a different drive ordering. It is *not* intended for use on desktop system, and it is not fully compatible with MS-DOS 7.10, yet. I do not recommend to use this version at the moment if you are looking for a fool-proof solution. DR-DOS 7.03 is much more reliable. However, DR-DOS 7.04/7.05 is still an improvement over DRFAT32.SYS/.EXE as it requires much less memory and it can be cached by a normal disk cache like NWCACHE. You could still install it as an alternative kernel for temporary use only. Matthias -- ; http://www.uni-bonn.de/~uzs180/mpdokeng.html; http://mpaul.drdos.org
