I'm under the impression that the MS-DOS 6.22 FDISK can only "see" up to
8GB (with max partition sizes of 2GB?) EVEN IF THE BIOS SUPPORTS MORE
THAN 8GB, whereas the configuration utility built into Ontrack DM can
"FDISK+FORMAT" the complete installed HDD.  I can't verify this for
Ontrack DM because the only platform I'm running with (OEM) Ontrack DM
has only a 3.2GB HDD; however Maxtor's MaxBlast configures my 30GB HDD.

A better (and cheaper?) solution for this problem is to use a Promise
UDMA33/66/100 add-on PCI card (I use a UDMA66 card on my 166MHz box),
or, for a 486 with no PCI slot, a GSI Inc. Model 2C add-on ISA card.
