This looks promising - a new Word to text & Postscript
converter for DOS (and other platforms) :

It is still under development. It has some image handling
ability, when converting to Postscript, although this depends
on the particular image and the "image level" chosen (eg.
level 0 seems the best for Ghostscript - if only I could get
the DOS port of Ghostscript to work properly!;-)
