It is simply a kind of self-extracting archive that extracts USB_CD.SYS (and CONFIG.SYS and AUTOEXEC.BAT) to A: drive. It doesn't complain when run (ie. self-extracted) from Windoze 95. The USB_CD.SYS file produced has a 00/08/25 date code. Looking inside this file, it seems to have been written by Teac, so a visit to "http://www.teac.com/DSPD/support.html" revealed a few more such Windoze 98 programs, for Teac USB floppy drives and USB CD-RW drives. Strangely, I didn't see the same Windoze 98 "patch" program as above, although this may have been repackaged by NEC (perhaps some USB models are not clearly identified as such on the driver web page). Another possible driver (clearly intended for DOS) is at : "ftp://ftp.tsc.teac.co.jp/pub/DOSV/DOS/110_dos.exe". Curiosity satisfied, I will leave it to others to try these drivers, since I don't actually have any USB peripherals!
