Iīd like to spread the word that JP Software has just released a major new issue of 4DOS (version 7.00A build 49). For those who donīt know it already, it is an advanced COMMAND.COM replacement with hundreds of additional features and uncountable usability enhancements. And: It works great under DR-DOS -- build 49 has added a fix which could under some circumstances cause programs to find an invalid environment under DR DOS 6.0+, sometimes causing unpredictable behaviour and hangs under TASKMGR. It also supports the SwitChar API (SETDOS /W) and the ISO 8601 international date format as it is also supported by DR-DOS 7.02+. If you are interested, please have a look at http://www.jpsoft.com for a trial version.
