Actually can someone (Matthias?) explain to me why running the DOS drivers for PNW on the Win9x machine wouldn't work? I haven't tried myself but I can't understand why it shouldn't. However I've heard from several sources that it doesn't work. If it doesn't work, was an attempt made using LoadTop=0 in msdos.sys? This is added to solve problems with Novell Netware, and other programs. And yes, Novell Netware is the program mentioned in the documentation for this switch. >what >protocols are available. is there a web site to hand hold me thorugh this. i >hope not to buy a new product for the entire project, just hang a win box >off the preexisting little network. You could always start up an FTP server if it isn't too often that you need the files on it. Or you can do it the other way around if you prefer that and install BulletProof FTP Server or Serv-U on the Win9x machine. But that wouldn't solve a problem with sharing the printer. Well there are sollutions of course, "upload" a "print to file" file and print it on the server manually. //Bernie
