It's faster than win3x with Netscape or IEX and has its own gui desktop for launching dos applications, and has a good mail client, plugins for all sorts of stupidity, and it's maintained, which the dos versions of IEX and Netscape are not. It totally avoids the licensing issue, since Win3x isn't involved.
