LWP is a TCP/IP implementation that runs atop the Novell ODI stack (LSL and MLID -- the NetWare client usually loads IPXODI and VLM.EXE above that, and one can load TCPIP.EXE to get TCP/IP support too) which also comes with various UNIX-type utilities (telnet, ping, lpr etc.).
